PETRICHOR
installation | scored | performance
composed, produced, performed, & edited by Leo Gevisser
The first time I came across the word ‘petrichor’, it struck something subliminal in my psyche. Something that was simultaneously deeply nostalgic yet almost overwhelmingly vivid. This is a sensory phenomenon that I consistently experienced whilst hiking in the mountains of South Africa during my childhood—a sensation that always calms my soul, gently reminding me of both my own kept memory and the urgent temporariness of nature.

As one might experience petrichor in real time, so I also hope this work reenacts the temporal meditation of a slowly-changing environment.
